It is with a warm heart that I welcome you to Newington Elementary School! Our school is located in Summerville and is home to over 800 Dolphins ranging from four year old kindergarten through fifth grade.  It is our mission to provide meaningful learning opportunities, build relationships, and cultivate a safe and positive community of leaders.

As principal of NES, it is my mission to collaborate with our school family to facilitate the growth of students’ abilities, skills, attitudes, and interests for the benefit of themselves, their community, and their country. Our teachers work diligently to establish positive relationships and empower students to become life-long learners who are responsible and productive citizens within the global community.  

I am a product of DD2 and have been in the district since 2006. It is an honor being principal of a school with such a wonderful legacy and to serve the students, staff, and families here at NES. As principal of NES, it is my responsibility and privilege to always make decisions based on what is best for all children. It is exciting to imagine what we can accomplish when we collaborate as a school family to build on the gifts of all members of the Newington family.
